A local
flower shop was in need of a multi-function
plant stand that could be used not only to
display their many floral arrangements but also
compliment their many seasonal displays. The
choice was the simple clean lines of the Shaker
style. Stand measures 42” h , top is 11” x
11”
A center shelf was needed not only to
secure the legs, but to enhance the look of the
stand, and gives a place to add a display item.
Because of the long slender legs, sugar pine was
used because of its straight grain
characteristics and stability. The stain gives
the piece that English-Country look. A marine
varnish was used as the top coat to protect the
stand from moisture from the many floral
arrangements.
